Seco is a rising American filmmaker based in Los Angeles and the Midwest.
Growing up interested in media at a young age, he didn’t see himself or his culture represented a lot in mainstream films and television. He gravitated to international and indie films that encapsulated the stories that resonated with him. Being inspired by these creatives, he decided to pick up a camera and started to tell his own stories.
He writes stories about underrepresented groups and issues that may not be talked about every day. Wanting to write about the experience of his culture and what the newer generation has experienced through a fresh lens.
Seco recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Media and Cinema Studies. During his time, he had done research on Asian American representation in Hollywood and concentrated on film production and script writing. In his 4 year he directed and collaborated on narrative films and promotional videos in tandem with the Asian American Association. Alongside working with local businesses, creating social media content & advertisements.
Now, Seco is a narrative/commercial filmmaker.
