Seco is a rising Asian Hispanic American filmmaker based in the Midwest & Los Angeles.
Growing up interested in media at a young age he didn’t see himself or his culture represented a lot in mainstream films and television. He gravitated to more indie artists, international, and independent films that encapsulated the stories that resonated with him. Being inspired by these creatives he decided to pick up a camera and started to tell his own.
He writes stories about underrepresented groups and issues that may not be talked about everyday. Wanted to write the experience of his culture and what the newer generation has experienced from a fresh lens.
Seco recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in Media and Cinema Studies. During his time he had done research on Asian American Representation in Hollywood. Furthermore directing and collaborating narrative short films and promotional videos for the Asian American Association. He has also worked with local businesses creating content and sharing their unique stories.
Now Seco is a Narrative and Commercial Filmmaker
